This is an accessibility statement from Lady of Gold.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Lady of Gold is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and have made it accessible to Level AA. This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. Wherever possible, the site follows these practices:

  • A logical content order across the site's pages.
  • Clear heading structures on all of the site's pages.
  • Alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Colour combinations that meet the required colour-contrast ratios.
  • Reduced motion, and respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation and forms.
